International Day of Action for Academic Integrity - Purdue University Global Academic Success Center

Next week, on Wednesday, October 15, the International Center for Academic Integrity [ICAI] is celebrating the International Day of Action for Academic Integrity. Integrity is important to all aspects of our lives, from being a responsible employee and student to upholding the framework of a functioning society.

Here at the Learning for Success Center at Purdue Global, we want to help students connect to and engage with resources that can help them maintain their integrity in all of their various responsibilities, especially the responsibility of being a student. Visit our Academic Integrity & Plagiarism page to learn more about topics like Avoiding Plagiarism in Internet Research and Basic Documentation Guidelines

Widespread access to artificial intelligence programs like ChatGPT has raised new questions and presented fresh challenges about maintaining integrity while taking advantage of the benefits that tools like these can provide. Our Student Success page also provides access to the Purdue Global AI Policy and other resources designed to help students use AI ethically and effectively.

This October, the ICAI reminds us that “everyone is capable of showing integrity” (ICAI, 2025, para. 2), and we hope these resources can help students develop their ability to research, write, and share their ideas with others in ways that are ethical, honest, and responsible.

Until next time, this is Dr. Linscott with another Learning for Success podcast. Happy Learning!
